About Jocelyn Jones

I really got into writing when I discovered Anaïs Nin’s diaries in my twenties. She inspired me to write and keep a diary; not simply a litany of daily events but more importantly about a deeper understanding and acknowledgment of the unconscious drivers in human nature.

I started to write poetry and became fascinated by how the echo of words come to haunt one and bring harmony; poetry in motion. I studied for a degree in linguistics and discovered a real interest in pedagogy and the art of language as communication and power.

Today, I am compiling a book of my poetry from over the years, which is centered on the seasons in the countryside to which I feel myself drawn. I’m rather done with cities.
